The Week of March 2

The weeks of Lent have seemed very full, with the midweek services, meetings, and most recently, the funeral for Jim Anderson. This week also will provide opportunities to gather together as a community of faith. The Luther League will be providing the Wednesday evening meal at 6 p.m., followed by the worship service. The women of the church will have a Unit Meeting on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., with a program provided by Wendy W. On Friday at 1:30 p.m., a World Day of Prayer servie will be held at a neighboring congregation, Palmyra Covenant Church.

Next Sunday, we will have Swedlanda Family Sunday School during the educational hour, beginning at 9:15 a.m. If we are going to begin on time, we will have to remember to set our clocks ahead one hour; Daylight Savings Time begins on March 9. That is also the day of our Minnesota Valley Conference Assembly.

I’ve included a few of the weekly announcements below. If you wish to read today’s sermon, you will find a link on the right.

Have a blessed week,

Pastor Stewart
